Lightbulb Suggestions for Upcoming Releases
Hello all,

I've received several emails from you suggesting integrated indicators for future versions of Classic. Hence the reason for creating this thread. I certainly welcome this type of feedback, and would be more than willing to implement the most popular suggestions.

Here's one I received today:

- I think that it will be a good idea to include the ability to mark the entry price after a signal as well as stop and target prices;
- also fib pivots and daily, weekly levels could be useful.

And my reply:

I've already been toying with fibs and pivots and am thinking of including them sometime throughout the summer. Next indies to be implemented are Williams Percentage Range and Ichimoku. Had some pretty good results with them. One of my objectives with Classic is to keep it balanced, ensuring indicators within it perform in harmony.

The entry and target markers is a solid idea. It's little more complex to incorporate into a non-ea indicator but I think doable. Will look into it.

Please post all general suggestions here so that myself and others can comment on them.

Happy Trading,
Marko

RE: Suggestions for Upcoming Releases
Williams %R integration is coming out next week? woo hoo! Perfect fit for Classic as %R works quite well with double and triple moving average crosses. Will post that particular strategy in the Strategy thread once you release v1.2.

MARVELOUS WORK!

RE: Suggestions for Upcoming Releases
The one thing I'd like - I imagine far harder to code than an additional indicator - is a signal to be generated only "IF", such as 'Only if my Stochastic main indicator line is above (below) the signal line generate a buy (sell) signal'.

It seems that at present a buy signal must be followed by a sell signal and so on whereas the above could generate confirmation signals - two buys without an intervening sell, for instance, which doesn't seem to happen.

Better still would be "WHEN" as in 'When my Stochastic's main indicator line rises above (below) its signal line generate any pending buy (sell) signal' enabling a signal to be generated when the Stochastic confirms a signal later than the other indicator(s) involved. 'When' would probably be implicit in an 'If' facility in most cases - I wouldn't know without having an insight into Trade Builder's flow.

Cheers, geoff

RE: Suggestions for Upcoming Releases
Marko,
There are two additions that you should make in the near future. The first would be incredibly powerful & easy to make, particularly for the upcoming Tradestation versions of MS Pro & Classic. Add the Hull moving average to your list of selectable MA's; & add it's function within any indicator that uses an average calculation (MACD, CCI, etc.). The Hull Tradestation function is available for free at the Tradestation Forum (called: jtHMA); you can open up the fucntion within EasyLanguage to see the exact formula so you can also add it to the MT4 versions of your indicators. The Hull MA is a (free open-source code) low-lag moving average; it's semi-adaptive & very fast. It blows the simple, exponential, weighted, triangular, etc MA's away. The only 2 MA's that I know of that are better are closed-source & expensive (Jurik MA & Precision Tech MA).

Please consider adding this to your indicators; it will perform better for MA corssovers, & significantly reduce lag in most indicators that use an average function in their calculation. I currently use a Hull-based MACD, CCI, & tick delta in Tradestation; these versions reduce lag over the exponential versions by 33-50%. One option is to add *Separate Hull MA versions of key indicators & still keep the traditional versions as well.

Suggested addition#2: a very powerful tool for trading futures & equities; most applicable for Tradestation versions. Add a Tick Delta. This is basically a moving average of (upticks-downticks; ie bid/ask volume); a very powerful leading indicator & works well for volume/price divergences as well. A 2nd smoothed average of the 1st MA will allow for MA crossovers & MA crosses above/below a (plotted) zero line. This & a fast MACD are a scalpers dream for futures & equities; bid/ask volume will lead price 90%+ of the time. Please consider this for the Tradestation versions. I can email you the basic code if you like.

Thanks,
CH

RE: Suggestions for Upcoming Releases
My only wish is to have the classic edition have an optional EA function. I'd also like to backtest my strategies as well. Is this doable as the platform stands at this time? If so, how?

Mainly I'd like to OPEN a trade on the open/close/etc of a candle X bars after an entry "up/down arrow" appears and CLOSE a trade X bars after an "opposite arrow" appears ....this of course would come with modifiable rules .....such as, say you don't want to exit a trade based on an opposite arrow, but based on X pips/points/dollars earn (Take Profit), this would also be available. OR you could have BOTH rules in effect in a "which ever comes first sense"...I think that is called an OR function. I guess you could make an AND function too...but for me the OR function would be just fine. It would also be nice to have a stop loss of X pips/points/dollars just in case a trade back fires. Another great option would be a maximum number of open positions, so we can regulate how many positions we'll have open at once.

RE: Suggestions for Upcoming Releases
Marko,
Thanks for all the hard work you put into supporting your product.
Is it possible to add a note or phrase to the email alert?
Either in the Subject line or body of the email?
That way we can quickly tell which template it came from.
I only trade the Eur/Usd, but have several templates using the same time frame.
Something like "Avatar 2" or whatever the user wants.

Thanks,

Pips are like cabbage, the green ones are the tastiest!

Option to select a Multiple Time Frame mode to the current indicators selections would be very helpful.

RE: Suggestions for Upcoming Releases
New to the forum and glad to be here.

The sky really is the limit with this indicator with endless possibilities and combinations.

That being said, I do think there is some modifications/additions to be considered.

1. Volumes - useful in filtering
2. Ichi -
3. Nonlag MA - Nonlag MA cross
4. VQ
5. QQE
6. Multi-timeframe option
7. Work Times - start/end time (only display and alert during these times)

i would love to be able to see the information on screen when running a second instance of TB on the same chart. As it is now, only one instance can be seen. Im not sure how to upload a photo to show what I am talking about so if someone could advise on that it would be great.

Marko

Locate the message I sent to you a while back in reference to the system I use to make reliable and constant returns. Take a peak at it and see if it may be worthy of possible ideas. It's the best manually traded forex system I've seen in my almost 17 years as a trader. The video may be the best way to first learn the system before reading the pdf my friend.

I'm on facebook if you want to connect my friends.
